Prof Parisa adds a new dimension to Luto Research
Health information is a priority worldwide, and so we are delighted to welcome Professor Parisa Aslani from the University of Sydney as an academic advisor to Luto Research. Parisa is internationally known for her research and policy work on information for patients about medicines, and is President of the ‘Health and Medicines Information Section’ of the World Pharmacy Federation. Parisa joins Professors Mike Wolf (Northwestern University in Chicago), and Theo Raynor (University of Leeds and co-founder of the company). Theo and Parisa have collaborated on research projects since the 1990s, including setting up a collaboration for the Worldwide Universities Network. Theo said: ‘Parisa brings a wealth of experience in the field of health information, and her knowledge of the Australian setting, where there have been recent initiatives in information provided to prescription and over-the-counter medicines, will be invaluable.’ On her upcoming visit to Leeds, Parisa will be giving a public lecture at the University ‘Adherence to treatments – a human dilemma’.
