World Usability Day 2014
It’s all about engagement
Usability permeates many aspects of healthcare, from developing and using new technology and drugs, to patients learning to use a new medical device. Products, and the instructions that accompany them, need to be accessible, understandable and usable – designed with the end-user in mind. Theoretically, anyone should be able to use any product and the result of having usable products can be life-saving.
World Usability Day is a single day of events occurring around the world that brings together communities of professional, industrial, educational, citizen, and government groups for our common objective: to ensure that the services and products important to life are easier to access and simpler to use.

- User Engagement – how usability drives end-user engagement
- Stakeholder Engagement – how to involve end-users in the product development, and how these people can influence, or be affected by, the decisions that are made
- Global Engagement – building global products and services with a focus on usability.
